JWST/NIRSpec spectra of 16 faint submillimeter galaxies at redshifts of about 1 to 4 in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field show that most host obscured AGN and have moderately high metallicities. The galaxies follow standard scaling relations, so they appear to be typical massive star-forming galaxies.
