Global analysis of tensor mode helicity

A "net helicity" signal from primordial gravitational waves might not mean what cosmologists think: overlooked solutions to the wave equations can carry opposite spins and muddy the reading. A new efficiency coefficient estimates how well future detectors, spanning twenty orders of magnitude in frequency, could actually catch it.
