Reginald Newkirk died Sunday at Kings County Hospital, a day after a medical emergency while held on a drug possession charge in East Flatbush. He's at least the sixth person to die this year after a medical crisis in NYPD custody, and deaths before arraignment escape the public review that follows Rikers deaths.
