The FAA is finally phasing out floppy disks from air traffic control

The FAA announced it is replacing air traffic control systems that still use floppy disks with a digital display system called E-IDS. It plans to install E-IDS at 435 sites by the end of 2028, starting at five locations including airports in Atlantic City, Nashville and Greater Rochester.
