The Redox team has completed its grant-funded phase to add io_uring-like ring buffer support at the system-task level, including a liburing-inspired API, shared-memory queues, and an async executor for drivers. Benchmarks reported the redox_ring interface as 14-15x faster than synchronous system calls.
