After finding a warhead, Aurora developer wants feds to pay for cleaning up old WWII site

A New York-based real estate firm behind a southeast Aurora community has sued the Department of Defense to recover over $700,000 spent clearing old unexploded munitions from a 105-acre site that was once part of the Lowry Bombing and Gunnery Range. The suit says the land was not flagged as an area of concern, and the DOD declined to comment.
