A BC Firm Aims to Mine in Tatshenshini Park, a World Heritage Site

Dominion Critical Minerals wants to develop a copper and cobalt mine at the old Windy Craggy site within Tatshenshini-Alsek Park, a UNESCO World Heritage area in northwestern British Columbia. Freedom-of-information records indicate the 1990s proposal was judged too environmentally risky, and the company now suggests a 37-kilometre tunnel to reach the deposit.
