In parallel mouse studies, researchers fail to replicate many reported effects of psilocybin
Five labs at UC Berkeley, UCSF and Stanford ran identical psilocybin trials in mice and found no lasting behavioral changes 24 hours after a single dose. Acute effects such as heightened anxiety and reduced fear expression did replicate across labs, while reported social-learning and antidepressant-like effects did not.
