Juniper, winner of San Francisco's 2024 Best Croissant competition, is opening its first outpost outside the city in 2027, inside a San Mateo development built around apartments, offices and a Caltrain stop. The new kitchen will finally give the bakery room to bake baguettes and sourdough, something its cramped basement setup can't handle.
