MARTINEZ — A man and woman vandalized a permitted Black Lives Matter mural in the city’s downtown, minutes after community members finished painting it, police said.

Community members had obtained a permit from the city to paint a Black Lives Matter mural Saturday in front of the Wakefield Taylor Courthouse on Court Street.
