The messaging app continues to be a cluttered, bloated mess even after several updates that aimed at fixing the problem. The only good thing to come out it, in my opinion, was a Dark Mode. Today, Facebook posted another blog post announcing some of the new changes that we can expect to see in the coming year. The project is called ‘Lightspeed’ and it aims at reducing Messenger’s app size by 70MB, which will bring it down to a modest 30MB.
