This is the latest instalment of an exclusive feature analysing the UK’s biggest public sector tech deals. In partnership with data analysis firm Tussell, we drill down into the top five most valuable tenders and awards from the previous week, and take stock of which tech firms have won the biggest share of the public sector pie.

The biggest tender of the week is a £1.2bn Crown Commercial Service framework. It allows public sector organisations across the country, including central government departments, local authorities and government agencies, to tender for software development and other digital projects. The second edition of the framework was due to expire in January, but was one of a number of contracts that was granted a 12 month extension at the end of last year. Applicants have until 22 August to apply to be a member of the framework, which opens in October.
