A Sunday morning blaze at an East San Jose home left one resident dead and another hospitalized after firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire at 1028 Wilsham Drive near Penitencia Creek Park.

The San Jose Fire Department was called at approximately 10:12 a.m. and arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames, according to spokesperson Sean Lovens. Upon arrival to the scene, firefighters contained the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
