No matter your NFL team allegiance, Americans can agree on one thing: It’s not a Super Bowl party without chicken wings.

On Feb. 12, Super Sunday, football fans are expected to devour more than 1.45 billion wings, according to the folks at the National Chicken Council, who pay more attention to this number than to the point spread. “The two main reasons are more favorable prices and more people getting back to normal and gathering for the Big Game, whether at home or at a bar/restaurant,” spokesman Tom Super said.
