SAN JOSE — Microsoft has bought a chunk of land in San Jose, a property morsel that suggests the tech leviathan has yet to whet its appetite for real estate in the Bay Area’s largest city.

The company bought some land near the corner of Orchard Parkway and Component Drive in north San Jose, according to documents filed on April 25 with the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office.
