SiliCon with Adam Savage — the pop culture/science/maker event formerly known as Silicon Valley Comic-Con — will return as an in-person event in August at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. It just stands to reason that an event where lots of attendees are already used to wearing — and making — masks would be the first large indoor event scheduled downtown, doesn’t it?

“I’m totally excited — with a giant grain of salt because everything could change in a minute,” said Savage, the popular former host of “Mythbusters” who serves as the show’s creative director. “But the idea of seeing some of our fans in person again is almost intoxicating.”
