Caught by rising tides, a woman and her dog were rescued from the steep cliffs of Pacifica by firefighters Saturday morning.

The pair had been walking along the beach in the area below The Bluffs at Pacifica Apartments when, faced with rising water, retreated up the sea cliffs for safety. Due to the steep and eroding terrain, they were unable to climb to the top of the cliffs and needed rescue.
