The Caldor Fire continued to bear down on South Lake Tahoe early Tuesday morning, a day after authorities issued an evacuation order for the entire area.

Fire officials said the blaze continued to move in a northeasterly direction and that it was burning around Echo Summit and into the Christmas Valley area. It has burned 186,568 acres and was 15% contained through Monday night, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
