GILROY – A person was shot and killed Thursday afternoon in Gilroy, authorities said.

Officers were called to a business in the 8200 block of Monterey Road, near Leavesley Road, at 1 p.m. for a report of a shooting, the Gilroy Police Department said in a statement. They arrived to find a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
