DEAR JOAN: We adopted our tuxedo cat last February. He’s approximately 2 years old.

In the past 10 days or so he’s decided to annihilate all the mice and rats on our property. We have a very long fence on one side of our property covered with ivy, where rodents love to nest. Apparently the cat has discovered this. We’re thrilled with his prowess, though in my long experience with cats, males are not usually the hunters that females are.
