GILROY — One person died and two others were seriously injured in a violent head-on crash on Highway 152 east of Gilroy on Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly collision was reported just before 8 a.m. just west of Lovers Lane when a westbound Ford Explorer crossed over into oncoming traffic and hit an eastbound Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, Officer Christopher Miceli said.
