SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO – One man is dead and another in custody following an assault in South San Francisco on Monday morning, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Airport Drive at 10 a.m. for a report of an assault where one person was possibly left unconscious, said Capt. Scott Campbell in a news release.
