San Francisco, Santa Clara and Alameda counties each reported one new death from the novel coronavirus Thursday as case counts continued to tick up across the Bay Area.

The three deaths were a decrease from the five reported Wednesday — but were spread across three counties, whereas Wednesday’s all occurred in Santa Clara County.
