Tesla is recalling 15,000 Model X SUVs because potentially corroded steering mount bolts could lead to a loss of power steering assist, making driving the vehicle harder.

The company posted the voluntary recall on its website and says it applies to most Model X vehicles built before mid-October 2016. Tesla also is applying the recall to Model S vehicles built before 2016.
