A former employee of Cisco Systems was charged Tuesday with wire fraud after defrauding the company of more than $9.3 million, officials said.

Prithviraj R. Bhikha, 50, was arrested Friday at San Francisco International Airport and charged with one count of wire fraud. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 20 years and a $250,000 fine.
