A thunderous end to the latest atmospheric river storm is likely for at least some parts of the Bay Area on Wednesday, setting up what’s expected to be at least a few dry days heading into the weekend.

National Weather Service predictions Wednesday morning called for possible thunderstorms scattered around the Bay Area. Those scattered storms could contain short bursts of stormy weather boasting roaring clouds and brief, intense rainfall. Small bouts of hail and lightning could be a symptom of such an event.
