A former Google executive who is running for the U.S. Senate is accusing the internet giant of losing its way, calling it a once-great company that’s now infected with greed.

The company’s former head of international relations, Ross LaJeunesse, said in an interview with this news organization Wednesday night that he left Google in May 2019 after his responsibilities were scaled back in April as “punishment for my advocacy on behalf of women, people of color, LGBTQ and human rights.”
