The Trump administration Friday said California’s requirement that all health insurers in the state provide coverage for abortions violates federal law and could result in a loss of federal funding.

The announcement came as Trump was set to become the first president to speak at the annual March for Life protesting the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion nationwide.
