More than a dozen people were displaced Wednesday night in San Jose after a fire broke out in an RV and spread to two houses, fire officials said Thursday morning.

When firefighters arrived at St. James and 7th streets, they requested a second alarm to battle the blaze, which engulfed the RV, then spread to the structure on the same property and the house next door.
